Whether you want to schedule a fun and interesting day out with friends and fellow foodies or want to expand your cheese making habit, you can schedule a private cheesemaking class for yourself or up to eight people. Simply tell me what you want to learn about and I'll design a class for you. It's helpful if you first look around the pre-designed classes under the "class details" section to get an idea of what's possible and then let's talk!
Class price will vary depending upon topic's covered and number of days. You can get a ballpark idea of the price per person by looking at the pre-scheduled classes. Instruction with 1-3 individuals will cost more per person than classes with 4-6 people. Let's make some cheese!

I've been pleasantly surprised how many people wanting to start or expand their cheese making business have reached out for further education. This cheese making workshop is designed as a brainstorming class that will hopefully open your mind to the possibilities beyond plain chevre and feta-probably the two most popular cheeses for small scale operations.
This is not about regulations and your physical plant-that's between you and your local jurisdictions. Instead, this cheesemaking workshop is about getting you excited about the many creative choices and styles of cheese you can make-all with an eye towards cost effectiveness, marketability and creativity. And to boot, each is not as hard to make as you think!
Because I have no way of knowing the production level you are trying to reach, the detailed recipes provided will be small batch and you will have to ramp up to the scale you desire. The main goal of this workshop is to give you a starting foundation on some new styles of cheeses and provide technical know how to you. And to inspire you to branch out and put your own creative stamp on developing cheese recipes.
Together we will choose four cheese recipes to cover over a day to day and a half period. Price per class is dependent upon number of people in class (some people choose to bring a spouse or employee(s) to the class) and all cheese workshops provide hands on instruction, detailed recipes, refreshments and lunch.
